The main thing to consider when selecting a violin is your age and height. From that, we can then take this information and apply it to the different size violins available by doing a neck to wrist test. We place the violin on your left shoulder underneath your chin. Straighten out your left arm and if the scroll of the violin is just about in the wrist area of the left hand, the violin is a suitable match to use on your journey to becoming a violinist.
